[613] – Islamic Resource Group: Building bridges of understanding through education

Fedwa Wazwaz is a Palestinian-American born in Jerusalem, Palestine and raised in the US. By profession, Fedwa is a senior data warehouse programmer with the University of Minnesota. In 2001, she co-founded the Islamic Resource Group, an outreach organization that seeks to build bridges of understanding between Muslims and the greater Minnesota community through education. She also leads an organization called EngageMN.Com, a program that fosters a dialogue between Muslims and non-Muslims. Fedwa has completed training in restorative justice at the University’s Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking. She was a policy fellow at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, and is currently enrolled at Sunnipath Online Academy to further her Islamic Studies.
